“As a first generation American and first generation college student I was always taught that education and doing well in school was crucial to being successful. When my mom moved us from the Bronx, NY to a suburb in NJ, I realized that education and opportunities did not look the same everywhere. Seeing educational inequities and the impact they had on students’ futures encouraged me to work towards breaking down these systems. I continue to be energized by impacting students and working to recruit talent from historically marginalized communities.”
