Marissa’s contributions include:

  • Approaching clients with compassion and understanding to become a trusted advisor, adept at solving client problems and providing tailored solutions.
  • Facilitating productive focus groups, interviews and capturing valuable client insights to form talent and compensation strategies that help attract and retain talent.
  • Conducting extensive research to provide clients with actionable, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Utilizing her background in clinical mental health, particularly working with underserved and high-risk populations to provide a unique perspective on addressing compensation and equity challenges.

Before joining Edgility, Marissa worked to conduct extensive grant-funded research aimed at reducing suicide rates in Florida. She also provided counseling services to underserved communities, gaining invaluable experience in systems theory and high-risk populations. This background enriches her current work by adding a deep understanding of the human factors in compensation and talent practices.

Marissa holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She is certified as a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and has received advanced training in diversity, equity, and inclusion, project management, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy
