Nathaniel Browning is a Compensation Consultant at Edgility Consulting, where he applies his effortless communication style and technical expertise to drive the development of  competitive and sustainable salary structures. Known for his ability to break down complex ideas into clear, helpful insights, Nathaniel excels in designing and implementing strategies that increase engagement and retention of staff members for his clients.

Nathaniel’s role at Edgility involves a unique combination of technical analysis and client engagement. He is instrumental in project managing client engagements, developing dynamic compensation models, and presenting complex data in an accessible format to various client stakeholders.

Nathaniel’s contributions include:

  • Designing dynamic scenario planning tools, enabling clients to visualize real-time budget impacts from compensation decisions.
  • Conducting regression and observational analyses to identify wage gaps by protected class, contributing to fair pay practices.
  • Creating visualizations for large-scale compensation studies, making complex data comprehensible and actionable.
  • Leading focus groups and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data into high-level themes for organizational leaders.
  • Running rigorous data cleaning and validation processes, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of compensation data used in client reports and presentations.

Before joining Edgility, Nathaniel gained experience as a Controls Engineering Intern at BMW Manufacturing, where he focused on optimizing assembly line processes and improving safety compliance. His background in aerospace engineering enhances his analytical capabilities and technical proficiency.

Nathaniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University, where he developed a strong foundation in technical analysis and problem-solving. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on advanced statistics and data visualization.
